SEND

Our Local Offer is the place that provides and directs you to information that will support children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). If your child does not have SEND but you feel they need support in some part of their development, the information on this website can help. It helps parents, children and young people aged 0 to 25 years find information about specialist and targeted services and activities in North East Lincolnshire. Emotional and Mental Health Support

If you are having trouble coping, have feelings of distress, or difficult thoughts you many want to talk to someone. You can talk to your carer, social worker, a member of the Looked After Children Team or you can contact CAMHS or Compass Go.

You can call Young Minds Matter (CAMHS) on (01472) 252570. Please note this phoneline is monitored from Monday to Friday between the hours of 9am and 4.30pm. If you need more information you can check NAVIGO webpage on https://navigocare.co.uk/CAMHS

Compass GO… Mental Health Support Team works with children, young people, families and educational settings in North East Lincolnshire. They provide support, help and advice for pupils, students and schools for issues related to emotional and mental health wellbeing. You can contact Compass Go on 01472 494250.

If you’re in immediate physical danger, please call 999 immediately. If you’re in a mental health crisis and need urgent help, you can call CAMHSs — 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday, you can call the advice line on (01472) 252570. Outside these hours, call the Single Point of Access on (01472) 256256 and select option 3. Alternatively, you can call NHS 111 free from a landline or mobile phone.

Drugs and Alcohol

Free, confidential support to people young people and adults who have issues with drugs, alcohol or mental health. The service offers work to help you reach your own goals; one to one and group workshops to reduce risks and harm associated with substance use. No referral is needed. Domestic Abuse

Blue Door is a specialist service providing support to anyone who has experienced domestic abuse and sexual violence in North and Northeast Lincolnshire, Hull, and East Riding. Gender

Be Proud, Be Brave, Be Yourself. This group is open to those who are part of the LGBTQ+ and allies. Allies are people who don’t identify as LGBTQ+ themselves but support those who do. You can craft, create and chat with us. Suitable for ages 11 – 18. Thursday, 4.30pm – 6pm. Based at The Inspiration Station, Centre4, 17A Wootton Road, Grimsby, DN33 1HE. Sexual Health

Free confidential sexual health and contraception service for young people. The service offers sexual health testing; management of sexually transmitted infections; pregnancy testing. Transition to adult life

Preparing for adulthood/ post 16. It is an exciting time, but we know that this can be a difficult time for some young people and their families, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) complex physical or mental health needs, those with care needs, their parents/carers and young carers. For these young people and their parents or carers, the preparing for adulthood process can need more thought and careful preparation than for other young people of a similar age, due to changes in the services and support they have known throughout childhood.

The post 16 process will be personalised to your needs and individual situation. Planning and preparing early will help make it a more positive experience.
